"Decided to bail on our oatmeal and stop at Michigan Base Camp instead and boy howdy was it worth it! I got the S’mores latte and my husband got the latte of the week which had marshmallow and vanilla. They have cows milk and non-dairy milk options. The lattes were so delicious and as someone who loves a sweet coffee, they were exactly what I was hoping for. For breakfast, I had the country boy waffle which was the perfect combo of savory and sweet. My husband had the breakfast burrito which was so incredibly flavorful with a smoky flavor and the salsa tasted like it was fresh made. Our friend got the avocado toast which was fully loaded! It’s clear that the ingredients used are fresh. From the eggs to the meat to the veggies, everything was very high quality. We went on a Saturday morning so the wait for the food was over 30 minutes, but it’s a statement to the fact that everything is clearly made to order. We had no problem finding a table and the shop has lots to look at while you wait. My only real complaint is the plastic silverware is very flimsy which often made cutting into the food challenging. A very small issue for such a great meal! One of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had."

"I got a blue raspberry coconut Red Bull drink that the girl at the counter recommended. It was so good. I had just finished a 40 minute walk from the Airbnb that I’m staying in and it was such worth the trip. the girls were so nice!"

"This is our first summer as Silver Lake seasonal’s, and like “regulars” we’ve found our favorite places to go. Michigan Base Camp is by far our favorite place to grab coffee, breakfast ( the breakfast burrito and breakfast pizza are my favs) Last weekend we had the best experience with the slingshots. We spent a few hours riding around silver lake and site seeing. Highly recommend!"

"Coffee amazing and to order! I ordered Italian panini, my partner ordered waffle breakfast sandwich. Everything was fresh and delicious. After ordering noticed breakfast pizza and made a comment. The owner graciously offered us a sample and it was amazing. Only side notes not really complaints, only one bathroom and well it was a busy weekend. Second note bacon was cooked soft, which I am sure if we would have asked could have been made crispy."

"The food here is so good! I got the grizzley man waffle, I was really impressed. Also our coffees were super good too. In the Latte you can actually taste the coffee flavors. It did take a while to get our food, they were busy and had one coffee bar person and 2-3 people cooking but there were a lot of people here. The service was really nice the people working here are friendly and nice. Just plan a little time for your food to come out."

"Excellent stop. The breakfast is fantastic and the coffee is the best around. Very good family running the place. The food can take a bit to get but get a coffee and relax, it’ll be worth it. Country boy sandwich is delicious, cinnamon rolls, and the best breakfast pizza you’ll have."
